2025 Chevy Suburban and 2025 Chevy Tahoe-Preview
For nearly half a century, the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe have been two of the brand’s most beloved models. And for 2025, these legendary SUVs are about to get even better. From updated styling to cutting-edge tech tools, here’s a look at how Chevy is raising the bar in the full-size SUV segment.
A fresh new look
For the upcoming model year, the Suburban and Tahoe both received makeovers. These beloved SUVs now boast styling inspired by the handsome good looks of the Chevy truck lineup. On the outside, they sport aggressive new C-shaped exterior lighting, along with eye-catching lighting animations that give your ride more personality. The Premier and High Country models now greet you and bid you farewell with these animations. Even these models’ turn signals have a little more dynamism thanks to their swiping animation.
The entire six-trim-level lineup for both models — LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country — will boast this bold new look, complete with an updated front fascia. Select trims will feature signature styling cues, like the High Country model’s sophisticated mix of Galvano Chrome and black trim. The perpetually popular Z71 trim is ready for adventure with a custom high-approach front fascia.
For the first time, the RST and High Country trims of these stately SUVs can make a statement with a portfolio of newly available 24-inch wheel designs. To top it off, you can now dress up your Suburban or Tahoe in two new exterior colors: Cypress Gray and Lakeshore Blue Metallic.
Technology and comfort
Both the Suburban and Tahoe now boast more open, airy cabins, a redesigned center console with more organization options, and a stunning all-new standard 17.7-inch-diagonal infotainment system. In addition to these functional features, Chevy made both comfort and aesthetics a priority with more soft-touch surfaces, additional premium cabin materials, and stylish touches like Galvano Chrome trim, Victory Red stitching on the RST model, and the newly available Jet Black/Sky Cool Gray cabin color palette on the Premier trim level.
In terms of tech, both of these SUVs greet 2025 with additional towing conveniences, including Trailer Tire Health, Forward Path Indication, Boat Ramp Assist, and Mobile Trailering App Load Rating Info, a feature that lets you check your trailer’s load rating anytime and anywhere. Plus, these models come with Trailer Navigation, a handy feature that optimizes your navigation route based on the size of your trailer.
Power and performance
In addition to its returning powertrain options, you can now give your Tahoe or Suburban a little more muscle with a second-generation 3.0L inline-six turbo-diesel Duramax engine. This updated engine sports a newly refined turbo compressor, revamped piston-cooling oil jets, higher-flow fuel injectors, and new, durable parts that are designed to improve performance. On top of that, the engine’s enhanced sound absorption material will ensure a smooth and quiet ride when you’re behind the wheel.
This diesel dynamo offers the power you need to tow confidently, along with a smooth and responsive ride thanks to its 10-speed automatic transmission. Best of all, you can opt for this dynamic duo across all trim levels — including the Z71, a first for the outdoor-oriented trim.
Exceptional road manners
The new Suburban and Tahoe models also provide a smoother ride than their predecessors thanks to an updated multilink independent rear suspension system, along with improved steering calibration for a more confident drive. The result is a driving experience that’s more nimble and athletic than you’d expect from these full-size SUVs.
For even more refinement on the road, opt for the available Air Ride Adaptive Suspension System and Magnetic Ride Control. New for 2025, the RST model now offers the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension System, which lowers the body of the vehicle for better aerodynamics and easier entry, while also giving you the option to raise the body for increased ground clearance. With Magnetic Ride Control, your vehicle will read the road 1,000 times per second to mitigate the roughness and vibrations felt inside the cabin.
